Movies

I finally got around to seeing Al Gore's movie, "An Inconvenient Truth" today. I never realized he was such a charismatic speaker. Though he told a compelling story, I felt that he was preaching to the choir because the people who would spend the time to watch his movie are the ones who are most likely to lead environmentally conscious lifestyles.

On the topic of movies, Michael Kang's movie, The Motel opens in NYC on June 28th. If you're in the area, please go and watch it so that it gets popular enough to be played in The San Francisco Bay Area in the following weeks (so I can watch it too!) It's an endearing comedy that has won awards at film festivals around the world and has helped to launch the film careers of up and coming Asian actors, like Samantha Futerman (a.k.a. Satsu in Memoirs of a Geisha.)
